Tanosuke (田之介, Tanosuke) is a former soldier who got corrupted by Nihil and the elder brother of Osushi.
Personality
Prior to his corruption, he had a soft heart that innocent shouldn't been killed. After the corruption, he's had become so sadistic being a useful slave to the sword. He will stop at nothing to be used as pawn for the sword to fill up all the blood it can drank.
Plot
In the 1969 version he commited suicide by stabbing Nihil onto his own throat to prevent any other casualties while in 2019 he was slayed by Hyakkimaru.
