Why make him appear more hardhearted when it came to his long-lost elder brother in the modern reboot?

In the 2007 live movie, he was more understanding and willingly gave the fully human Hyakkimaru his rightful place as lord.

He really did not have to die along with his mother in that fire! They all could have lived happily as a family after Lord Kagamitsu had his well-deserved death, and been at Hyakkimaru and full-grown Doro's wedding, and as they raise their own child; a daughter.

Reminds me of Sorena's only grandchild passing herself off as a boy known as "Albus", even though her true gender was revealed, she is still called by that masculine name even in the five-year spinoff of Grimoire of Zero.

But Dororo here, really did not need to hide her gender like "Albus" did to make people think that the renowned Mooncaller Witch had no descendants.

Plus, Haykkimaru makes me think of Toph Beifong who is still a master earthbender and, later on, metalbender in spite of her blindness, being freely capable of "seeing" her surroundings and people with her bare feet as well as discern truth and lies from another in place of ascertaining one's true nature by detecting the color of their inner essence/soul/spirit.

His spirit/mind/vital essence still living within a counterfeit humanoid body, just like Kikyo and then the spirit of the centuries-old reindeer or deer-demon girl Rion, eighteen years after Kikyo had died for a third and last time.

In the exact same time as the hit anime InuYasha,the four movies and its 26-episode seventh season titled The Final Act, in the Warring Sates period,right?

But quite far from the lands of Msashi, where everything began and ends, where Inuyasha and co had traveled to reach the spiritual/sacred mountain Mount Hakurei in the fourth and fifth seasons?

This fuedal era indeed has high-level animal-like demons/daiyokai and demonic gods and deities but not any type of middle-level Buddhist or very different types of spiritual powers that certain human beings naturally possess- Monks, priests and priestesses/miko such as the long deceased Priestess Midoriko, the resurrected priestess Kikyo and her teenage reincarnation of modern Japan.

So would modern times here would be lacking regular or high-ranking demons and divine-level demonic deities, too, five centuries later?

Im new and would like to get along with most if not everyone and by looking at it can we accept that dororo is cute and please not fight on their gender it isn't really something to be fought over.

Maybe I watched too many anime and it is difficult to impress me, maybe I am too old for the target audience of this show, but I found it rather childish, with very twisted dysfunctional moral concepts, and with contortionist 180° sudden changes of heart in several characters, which destroyed the show's credibility.

Besides, the whole thing was based around the fact that supposedly Hyakkimaru was "egoistical" for not being willing to sacrifice himself for the others, but not even ONCE did anybody of these cheap preachers offered his/her life instead of expecting Hyakkimaru's.

The first half was very good, but the rest very forgettable.

Why can't we stop fighting? Why do we yell at each other and argue if a character is trans or prefers male pronouns? Why can't we just get along and have fun sharing our love for this show?

You like a show about a trans kid with a trans person singing the theme. Get over it.
